How to Prevent Forward Head Posture (“Text Neck”)
Share
Forward head posture, often called “text neck,” is caused by prolonged screen use and poor sitting habits. Preventing it begins with adjusting monitor height so that the top of the screen aligns with eye level. Maintaining a straight back, relaxed shoulders, and proper chair support can also help reduce strain on the neck and spine. Regular posture checks and stretching exercises—such as chin tucks and neck stretches—are highly recommended. Taking breaks to stand, move, and reset posture throughout the day is key to preventing long-term musculoskeletal issues and promoting overall workplace wellness.
